I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Velasco after researching new OB/GYNs. My two prior GYNs had seemed rushed and uncaring. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly (withn 6 weeks) and absolutley loved the doctor! She spent a lot of time getting to know me and wanted to know my extensive family history. When it came time for the exam, she let ME decide which tests I wanted done after explaining the importance and recommended frequency of each. She then referred me to a specialist for one particular ailment, commenting that she was not a specialist in that area. I respect that kind of humility in a doctor. Overall, it was a very positive experience for what can be an unpleasant exam. I highly recommend Dr. Velasco (although I hope she doesn't get too popular)

Dr. Velasco is a fantastic doctor. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind, a definite exemplary doctor. She listens to everything you ask or say, she gives her complete attention to everything! She always makes me feel like I am important to her and that's so wonderful because I am an old lady!! I was so frightened when I had my first appointment because I was so afraid she was going to suggest surgery, but she did a complete exam, told me what she found and her suggestions to fix my problem. I feel like she is an Angel sent here to take care of people that she truly cares about and it shows with her personal attention to every detail. Lovelace is so lucky to have this woman and I hope they truly appreciate all she does. God bless this fantastic woman, she truly is exemplary. I am so, so lucky to have her as my doctor.
